The password rules are now displayed before registration.

PLS has rules in place regarding the complexity of passwords to ensure they are strong enough.

However, when self-registering for a class, students were not aware of these rules before registering. This meant that when students registered their passwords, an error occurred and they only became aware of the rules at that point.

From now on, the rules will be displayed on the screen where you register your password, as shown in the diagram above, so you will be able to register a password that complies with the rules before an error occurs.

The process of resetting the password of existing students when registering for a class using the roster has been abolished.

Until now, when registering students for a class using the roster, a new password was issued each time, even for existing students.

This had the effect of avoiding the need for existing students to recover or change forgotten passwords by issuing new passwords and notifying them each time, but in recent years, with the way PLS is used, there are often cases where students are registered for multiple classes at the same time, and in such cases, multiple passwords are notified to the student at the same time, making it difficult to tell which password should be used.

From now on, when registering students on the roster, the password of an existing student will not be changed or reissued, so the password that was notified at the time of initial registration or the password that the student changed afterwards can be used as is.
